A pharmacy in Massachusetts, United States, served a menu of marijuana pizza. The pharmacy is specialized to make pizzas with marijuana as one treatment.
Informed by Time, the pharmacy, Ermont Inc., is one of the places for patients who require marijuana treatment. However, the pizza is available only for single portion.
The manager of pharmacy, Seth Yaffe, said that the making a pizza is based on a request from the number of patients. They wanted a salty food to avoid sugar. The infusion of cannabis usually injected through candy or fruit.
The pizzza are becoming popular. Typically, patients who suffer from illness due to chronic diseases, a litany of addiction, or opioid side effects of chemotherapy, choose to consume this pizza.
"We found out that the patients prefer food they commonly eat. We wanted to provide something that is considered a full meal," he said.
Yaffe who once worked at the restaurant, said he has tried a number variants that can be combined with liquid marijuana. A number of variants was like hot chocolate, vegan mayonnaise, and peaches.
You can get the pizza only for $38. The six inches pizza has cheese and contains 125 milligrams of THC in the tomato sauce. The marijuana dossage is said to be enough to treat one person.
So far, in a day, there are around 200 to 400 patients who buy the pizza.
However, the pizza is not sold freely. The patient must have a medical hazard markings card issued by the Government as a sign of her consuming cannabis if as a treatment. Patients with such cards will be allowed to bring small-sized pizza that was to be brought back home.
