"We agree with those who said that social media should not provide a place where the terrorists can give their word. We want to be clear about how we consider this as a serious problem -maintaining the community security on Facebook is crucial for us," Facebook commented in their official blog, Friday (16/6).

The company that built by Mark Zuckerberg revealed that they use artificial intelligence (AI) to repel the terrorists and find fake accounts. This had not been previously revealed by Facebook.

Techniques that is used include terrorists face match. They match the pictures of the terrorists with their photos and videos on social media. Facebook also detected a "cluster" in which the content is posted by the terrorist related accounts using an algorithm. They also develop new techniques to turn off the breakers.

If someone tries to upload photos or videos of terrorist, the system will see if there are faces in the photos or videos that match the extremists that konte previously discontinued. The uploads will be completely halted even before the upload done.

The extremists post will be difficult to be uploaded when the post user befriends with those who previously posted content of propaganda or shut down by Facebook because of terrorism. Facebook will also stalk the people who have become offenders in several occasions because of the radical content post.

"Our technology will continue to be developed as we see the threat of terrorism continuing to evolve online. Our solutions have to be very dynamic," said Monica Bickert, Director of Global Policy Management for Facebook, quoted by BBC.

Facebook is also discussing with those who work against terrorism. They also employ more than 150 people who are "exclusively focused to fight terrorists as their primary responsibility". These people come from counter terrorism academists and law enforcements.

"We have to hire people who can observe the content. I prefer to think that the computer do its job as a computer and a human being doing the job as a human being," added Bickert.

Facebook said that expelling extremists and radical content from social media are very important, following the large number of terrorism which has recently been faced. The first terror was in Manchester at the beginning of Ramadan, to London which just happened last week.

Nigerian army Claims the Second Rescue of Chibok Girl

A second schoolgirl that was seized in the Nigerian town of Chibok has been found, the army says. But a spokesman for the Chibok girls' parents has cast doubt on the claims, saying that the girl's name is not on the families' list of those missing. An army spokesman said Serah Luka was among a group of 97 women and children rescued by troops in the north-east. Islamist militant group Boko Haram has abducted thousands of other girls in recent years, rights groups estimate. This comes two days after the rescue of the first Chibok girl, Amina Ali Nkeki. The army has previously given misleading statements about the rescue of the Chibok girls - in its initial statement after Ms Nkeki was found, it used a wrong name. In all, 218 girls remain missing after their abduction by the Boko Haram Islamist group from Chibok secondary school in north-eastern Nigeria in 2014. Ms Nkeki told a Chibok community leader that six of the kidnapped girls had died, but...

Hong Kong Lunar New Year Celebrations Erupt in Violence as Police Clear Food Stalls

Hong Kong's Lunar New Year celebrations have descended into chaos as police leared illegal food stalls set up on a busy junction for Lunar New Year celebrations, leaving dozens injured or arrested. Riot police used batons and pepper spray and fired warning shots into the air early on Tuesday after authorities tried to move illegal street vendors from a district in the city. Protesters hurled bricks at police as scuffles broke out, while other demonstrators set fire to rubbish bins in the streets of Mong Kok, a gritty neighbourhood across the harbour from the heart of the Asian financial centre. A police statement said that three men aged 27 to 35 were arrested for assaulting a police officer and obstructing police, while another three police officers received hospital treatment. Broadcaster RTHK said later that 24 people had been arrested. The scuffles broke out after police moved in to clear "hawkers", or illegal vendors who sell local delicacies, trinkets and ...

Ted Cruz Loses Over Three Consecutive Trump Victories

Real estate mogul Donald Trump received victory over top rivals Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas) and Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.) in Tuesday's Nevada GOP caucus, setting up a particularly difficult road ahead for Cruz. Republican presidential candidate Sen. (JOSH EDELSON via Getty Images on Monday)   Trump has now won three straight state contests and appears to be barreling toward the Republican presidential nomination, while Cruz has only won one state, Iowa. Cruz's campaign had hoped to eke out a win in Nevada based on the strength of his political organization and ground game, which helped lead him to a similar victory in the Iowa caucus earlier this month. The caucus format relies on turning out voters who are engaged enough to spend several hours participating in the political process. By contrast, Trump has lagged behind Cruz and Rubio in his organizing efforts, and political observers expre...
