Lady Gaga Will Sing The National Anthem At The Super Bowl 50

Cheer for the Super Bowl this Sunday: Lady Gaga is set to sing the national anthem before the game on Feb. 7.

The NFL announced Tuesday that the "Pokerface" singer will perform "The Star-Spangled Banner" at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, where the Carolina Panthers will take on the Denver Broncos. She’ll be singing alongside Academy Award winning actress Marlee Matlin, who will perform in American Sign Language during the anthem.

That's quite an act to follow for the half-time show performers, Beyonce and Coldplay.

It's only fitting that a Super Bowl 50 performance is the next stop for Gaga in her 2016 takeover.

Earlier Tuesday, the news broke that she will perform an "experimental tribute" to the late singer and cultural icon David Bowie at the Grammys on Feb. 15, and she's already nominated for Best Song Written for Visual Media for “Til It Happens To You.”

Lady Gaga also scored an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song for the track, which she co-wrote with Diane Warren for "The Hunting Ground."

And in January, she nabbed a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a TV or Mini Series for her role as The Countess on "American Horror Story: Hotel."
